#1 Tip to Quickly + Easily Magnetize Your Messaging

My number #1 tip to quickly + easily magnetize your messaging — for social, newsletter, blog, and billboard. You name it, this tip works 100% of the time.

Today, I'm going to share how to easily and instantly magnetize your messaging from your socials, your newsletters, and blog entries, to your LinkedIn articles.

Let's Get Straight to the Point

As I started as a copywriter and social media manager, my absolute #1 tip is: to sell the STORY and not just the FACTS.

The phrase “facts tell, stories sell” is a famous quote in the world of sales. As the saying suggests, to sell, you need to give them a reason to act. A story can be more engaging than just providing data and facts. Who doesn't love a good story? The story is what engages people. Remember how excited you were when reading your favorite book? Or the time you saw a film that moved you emotionally? When you tell a story, you connect emotionally with the person listening to you.

Yes, I know, it's a common tip but it is worth sharing again and again since a lot of folks out there keep on missing out on this simple but powerful copywriting tip. Think of it this way: at the end of the day, it doesn't matter what industry you are in, you are still dealing with human beings on the other side of the screen- and this is where a lot of people are forgetting.

Facts Tell, Stories Sell!

Myth: You can guarantee skyrocketing sales just by talking about the facts and features of a product or service that you are selling.

Not true. You can’t just tell them what the product or service does or the statistics behind them, you have to tell them how it will make their business or lives better. When we say “facts tell,” we mean the information provided is real and can be used to make an informed decision.

But when we say "stories sell", it engages the reader, not necessarily by giving them facts or figures, but by providing a quality picture of the world and its people. Stories also allow you to convey your message in a way that feels more carefree, and less direct.

People want to be SEEN.

They want to be FELT.

They want to be HEARD.

How to Actually Reach Your Audience

For example, as I work with real estate agents, I see and read a lot of listings and posts that are very straight to the point and those posts fail to connect with their target audience. Why? Because anyone can describe the "specs" and features of a house. No matter how detailed the features are, it doesn't reach their audience on an emotional level.

How about this:

"Considering expanding your family? This home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a spacious yard with ample space for a pool. It has a lot of room for growing families having all the space and coziness allowing your kids to create those precious memories. Imagine sitting back and relaxing while your kids are having fun, running around the yard on a sunny day.”

Everyone likes to listen to a good story because it allows us to be swept away by our imagination. When you're telling your story, you invite others to journey with you. The more memorable your story is, the more listeners will get involved in your idea!
